
Felix Sanchez, President and CEO
Felix Sanchez has more than 25 years of experience in communications and event management. He founded TerraCom in 1995 and has been at the firm’s helm since its creation. Mr. Sanchez is also Chairman and Co-Founder of the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts, which he founded with actors Jimmy Smits, Sonia Braga and Esai Morales. The goal of the foundation is to advance the presence of Latinos in the entertainment and telecommunications Industries. Mr. Sanchez received his B.A. and M.A. degrees with highest honors from The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied Psychology and Curriculum and Instruction, respectively. He holds a J.D from the University of Houston’s College of Law. Mr. Sanchez was named one of the most influential Latinos by Hispanic Magazine in 2000 and was awarded the Mickey Leland Award for Excellence by the National Association of Minorities in Communications (NAMIC). He is a former CNN contributor and has been profiled in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, PBS, NBC’s The Today Show, Dateline NBC, Entertainment Tonight, E!, Access Hollywood, Hispanic Link, Washington Hispanic, PEOPLE en Español, La Opinión, Univision and Telemundo.
Horace Jennings, Director of Strategic Advocacy
Horace brings 15 years of experience in government affairs and public relations to TerraCom. He counsels clients on how to foster the development and implementation of strategies and projects designed to promote their goals and enhance their image within government and non-government sectors. He has experience managing accounts of domestic and international clients, providing clients with government and public relations advice, and developing government relations and media strategies. Additionally he has designed and organized public events to increase client’s visibility within different sectors of society. Professional activities include advancing the goals of clients with Congress; arranging trade and investment missions; drafting speeches; writing academic journal articles; scripting talking points; and providing memoranda on a wider range of issues. Horace graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Washington, DC where he studied Latin American Studies and Economics. He also has his JD from the University of Texas School of Law.
Hilary Ashford-Ng, Director of Special Events and Conferences
With multiple years of meeting and event planning experience, Hilary Ashford-Ng has extensive knowledge in all stages of event development and execution. Her experience ranges from small meetings, to political fundraisers, to national conference tours with thousands of attendees. Hilary manages the event planning team with a focus on client satisfaction and thinking outside the box. She is an experienced hotel liaison with an acute attention to logistical details. She has experience in all aspects of government contracting from designing conference program content to budget creation and oversight, to developing secure registration websites. In addition to overseeing the progress of each event project, she is responsible for contract negotiations, federal contract regulation compliance, booking high-level speakers, and maintaining strong relationships with national hotel chains, CVB’s and a variety of vendors. Hilary graduated cum laude from the University of California at Santa Cruz, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics.
Daniel Bremer-Wirtig, Director of Communications & Government Relations
Daniel Bremer-Wirtig works primarily on congressional, media and Latino outreach. Daniel brings a unique knowledge to TerraCom through his professional experiences in Mexico, Germany and the United States in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Daniel is responsible for designing outreach platforms and communication campaigns, as well as developing relationships with media contacts, and Congressional Members and their staff. His experience in Washington has aided him in establishing a notable contact portfolio that is of great benefit to TerraCom clients. Daniel is a native of Mexico, and graduated from the Tecnologico de Monterrey with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. He is fully proficient in English, German and Spanish.
Carolyn Naifeh, Director of Business Development
After 15 years in broadcast journalism, Carolyn switched gears to work in fundraising, special events and corporate relations. She has worked for the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California, Best Doctors International, Ford’s Theatre and Voice of America as well as providing consulting services to the National Education Association Foundation, Pearson Foundation, Raytheon, and the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. Carolyn obtained her B.A. from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She also earned a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt. The daughter of a U.S. diplomat, she grew up overseas and has traveled extensively for business. She is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of French and Portuguese. Carolyn is the co-author of two books, True and Tacky: Weird Stories from the World’s Newswires and True and Tacky 2: More Weird Stories from the World’s Newswires. She serves on the advisory boards of the American Foundation for St. George Hospital (in Beirut, Lebanon) and This I Believe (the NPR series).
Kalin McKenna, Manager of Special Events and Conferences
Kalin McKenna brings years of event planning and communications experience to TerraCom. She has worked with non-profit and government clients and is practiced at working within budgetary restraints to create successful events. Kalin also assists with conference material design and production. She has experience creating programmatic content, and identifying and securing speakers. She is also a skilled fundraiser, having managed projects that generate over $600,000 annually. Kalin graduated cum laude from the University of California at Berkeley, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Elizabeth DeNoia, Manager of Special Events and Conferences
Elizabeth DeNoia manages the registration and logistics component of programs, including registration website creation and editing, the use of current federal government security standards, compiling and analyzing attendee databases, and maintaining financial records for all registration fees. Additionally, Elizabeth is extremely skilled at building customer relations with clients, vendors and exhibitors, which aids in expansion and program development. This comes from her extensive background in customer service and continues to be one of her greatest attributes. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Monmouth University.
